OHSAS 18000 (Occupational Health & Safety Assessment Series) is an international occupational health and safety assessment and management system specification.

OHSAS 18001 series is designed to help organisations formulate occupational health and safety policies and objectives and take a proactive approach to occupational health and safety risks.

An OHSAS certification system is compatible with the ISO 9001 (Quality) and ISO 14001 (Environmental) management systems standards.

The OHSAS 18001 certificate proves that an organisation’s management system has been measured against a best practice standard and found compliant. Issued by a third party accreditation body/registrar, the certificate lets employees and other stakeholders know that the health and safety of an organisation’s work force is proactively protected.
